The competence center "water" (HyCo-Geo) combines the expertise within the Geoverbund ABC/J to provide knowledge and insights into the dynamics of the hydrosphere, which will change significantly in the coming years.

The main objectives include the bundling and networking of expertise, the promotion of young scientists and the acquisition of new research projects.

Cooperations with regional partners, such as water associations, bring science and practical application together. Further on, cooperations with international organizations open up the possibility of international networking.
